This vivid orange color always reminds me of a relaxing, easing sunset on a beautiful beach.
Sitting on the sand, looking at the sunset and feeling a touch of fresh breeze on face and body -it’s truly a gift for us from the mother earth :)
I have a specific memory which this soap reminds me of. Me and my husband went to Philippines two years ago, and sunset in the beach there was tremendous. We sat in the beach, and looked at the horizon very quietly. I still can smell the ocean and feel the warm breeze on my face.
(Later day, since he didn’t put any sun screen on, he got a serious sun burn on his whole body and couldn’t even move for two days. Pilipino sun light, especially reflection from the water is so strong in daytime. Haha! So you can imagine how strong the sun set color is, and it is indescribably beautiful.)
The color is made by carotene from red palm oil.
This is the same as what carrots have, for example. Because of that, these fresh soaps actually smell like fresh carrots.
It is a smell of nature.
I make many types of soaps but this one is absolutely one of my favorites.
The biggest portion of this soap is red palm oil.
This oil is said that it helps addressing skin damage, like a wound, and irritated skin.
So when I have pimples or skin cuts, I tend to use this soap. It might just be placebo (lol) but I feel like my skin gets way smoother after showering with the soap.
And of course, lots of olive oil.
Olive oil is extremely gentle for skin so no matter what kind of soap I make, I always use it to make sure they are very friendly to our skin.
Its rich squalene and glycerin moisturize skin and get rid of unnecessary stuff on skin very softly.
When I use soaps that contains high amount of olive oil, it almost feels like it leaves a soft protective membrane on my skin.
It is not difficult at all to find information about skin effect of olive oil. This is one example:
A little bit of coconut oil is to add some power of cleansing. This is really a powerful one so just a tiny bit.
Last but not least, two spoons of honey as a thank you treat for skin. Skin is the biggest organ we have, and it is working to protect our body from everything 24/7. Such lovable buddy it is! Of course they deserve a special treatment at the end of or beginning of the day :)))
I think this extra treatment keeps my skin extremely smooth and soft also!
Like a sunset breeze, this soap caresses our body and heart gently. I like its feeling and hope you like it too! :)
Ultimately, hope our mother earth likes it too as it is 100% biodegradable. Hahaha
